Faq – About Aerator

Laura asks…

What is the difference between a Soiree wine aerator and a Vinturi wine aerator?

I am looking at buying a wine aerator and have narrowed down my choice to either a Soiree wine aerator or Vinturi wine aerator. Can anyone tell me the differences between these wine aerators? Thanks

Staff answers:

The Soiree wine aerator is made of glass, so if you are slightly clumsy like me then you may wish to go for a sturdy aerator like the vinturi.

The vinturi requires two hands to operate and many people report being put off by the gurgling sound that it makes. However the vinturi wine aerator does a fantastic job of aerating your wine. I rank it above the Soiree for aeration and looks.

The Soiree is however easier to use as it fits on the bottle.

I conducted alot of research and found http://wineaerator101.com had very in depth reviews of both.

Susan asks…

looking to buy commercial aerator if your familiar please come in?

Hello. I am looking to purchase a commercial aerator for my husband and his side/part time landscaping business. Can you please suggest a brand, and what types of stores I can find these at. Home Depot and Lowes only has the residential aerators. Any tips and help will be greatly appreciated.

Staff answers:

Lesco, Inc. Sells them online at http://www.lesco.com/ProdCatalog/ProdCatalogNav.aspx?ProdGroupID=475 but if you are in the US then you might be better off going to one of their, which you can find by clicking on Store Finder on the webpage.

SourceOne sells the Plugr, see http://www.sourceonex.com/plugr/html/ to get more info and locate a dealer.

Sharon asks…

Why does my new sink have low water pressure when aerator is installed?

I just replaced my bathroom sink. Both lines have adequate water flow, and when the aerator is removed, I get adequate flow out of the faucet. The aerator is clean. However, when I reinstall the aerator, the flow becomes just a drizzle with both hot and cold water settings. Any ideas what could be going on?

Thank you for the help.

Staff answers:

Disassemble the aerator and clean. There are two parts to an aerator. A round disk with a single hole which snaps into a round hollow pan that has pin holes punched around the perimeter. Use a small punch or fork tine to stick in the single hole and pry these two pieces apart. The clog is inside.
